About Us
The Development Corporation of Tarrant County (DCTC) is a Single Family and Multifamily Housing CHDO (Community Housing Development Organization) Developer in the State of Texas with an emphasis on Tarrant County. DCTC also has CHDO designation in Tarrant County, City of Fort Worth, and the City of Arlington.
DCTC develops single family new construction, acquires and rehabilitates single family dwellings, and acts as a General Partner on the creation of new multifamily construction projects throughout the State of Texas to produce workforce affordable housing. DCTC also can provide down-payment and closing cost assistance on our single-family projects.
In addition, because of our non-profit status, DCTC can also act as the General Contractor on the projects for cost savings with our Partners.
Our
Story
The Development Corporation of Tarrant County (DCTC) was created in 1999 by the Tarrant County Community Development Department to provide affordable workforce housing. However, in 2001, the organization was incorporated as a separate non-profit entity from Tarrant County. The Tarrant County Mayor’s Council currently appoints 2 members to the DCTC Board of Directors and the Tarrant County Housing Finance Corporation currently appoints 1 member to the DCTC Board of Directors. DCTC is also listed as a Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO).
